Renovation courses

Teaching the Trades to Chicago's Youth.

Professional contractors lead hands-on renovation courses at real Chicago properties — giving young people and community members the skills to build careers and improve their neighborhoods.

Real Skills. Real Properties. Real Impact.

The Zorre Group partners with professional contractors across Chicago to teach the trades to the next generation. Every course is led by working tradespeople who bring real-world experience into hands-on sessions held at actual properties — not classrooms. Whether you're a young person exploring a career in the trades, a community member looking to improve your home, or someone ready to turn a skill into a livelihood, our courses give you the foundation to build something real.

Our mission

Professional Contractors Teaching the Next Generation

We believe the best way to learn a trade is from someone who works it. The Zorre Group connects licensed Chicago contractors with young people who are ready to build — giving them real skills, real mentors, and a real path forward in their own communities.

Led by Working Contractors

Every course is taught by a licensed, active Chicago contractor — not a teacher. Students learn directly from people who do this work every day.

Real Properties, Real Work

Sessions take place at actual renovation sites across Chicago's South and West Side — students work with real materials from the first day.

Youth-Focused Enrollment

Our courses are designed with young people in mind — ages 16 and up are welcome, and we keep groups small so every student gets direct attention.

Certificate of Completion

Finish a course and receive a Zorre Group certificate recognized by local contractors and employers as proof of hands-on training.
